The first thing that comes to mind when we think about health is physical health, right? At the beginning of the year, many of us have new resolutions usually around health that essentially include working out more regularly, eating better, start or getting back in shape (meaning physical shape). But we often forget that the state of our body is also a consequence of the state of our mental and spiritual health. The body talks to us in mysterious ways. There are best-seller books “The body keeps the score” by Bessel Van Der Kolk and “Soul Mind Body Medicine: A Complete Soul Healing System for Optimum Health and Vitality” by Dr. Zhi Gang Sha- that both beautifully and powerfully explain the realness of holistic health.

I understand being healthy as something transcendental to the body only. Of course, fresh, natural, and nourishing nutrition and regular exercise to take care of our body, but also … meditation, feeding our minds with positive and empowering content, affirmations, visualizations to support a healthy mind, as well as breath work, deeper movement such as yoga, dancing, tai-chi to move the energies inside each of us, nourish our soul and get our individual vibe in check. To me, one cannot go without the other but that thinking is definitely not the most popular one.

So let’s challenge it and take the opportunity of the first month of this new year to either shift or dive deeper into our perspective of seeing and practicing wellness as a whole.

Serendipity works wonderfully since I got approached by Kerry Fisher’s team to talk about this very subject. Kerry is a lawyer turned coach and teacher for athletes, corporations, and private clients in a variety of disciplines including mindset, meditation, breath work, physiology, and personal development. Last year, she launched her book Tools for Extraordinary Living: The Snooze Button Sessions where she shares mindfulness tools and techniques that support us in living our best life; and this upcoming fall she’ll launch her latest book on amazing health transformations - titled: “Total health for extraordinary living”.

IN THIS EPISODE I TALK ABOUT:

  • The all-encompassing approach to health;

  • Health mindset shift;

  • Spiritual wellness to create a life of ease, flow & peak performance;

  • The importance of routines to support our well-being;

  • Being kind to ourselves in the process of reaching wellness;

  • And so much more ...

So let’s fully reboot for this new year and make sure our health is top-notch.

Listen up to this gem!
